SaaS startup Business Canvas has successfully closed an additional investment round led by angel investors IBK Capital, Atomic Asset Management, and Han Ki-yong. The investment amount remains undisclosed, but the company has completed two Series A2 investment attraction rounds.
In January 2023, Business Canvas attracted a cumulative investment of 12.3 billion won from Sui Generis Shinhan Venture Investment, Infobank, Kakao Ventures, and Shinhan Capital. The latest investment is expected to support the company’s plans to launch new products and services, including generative AI-related products that match consumers’ preferences.
Business Canvas is the creator of Typed, a document tool used by global users in 184 countries, which received the ‘Product of the Day’ recognition on the popular software ranking site ‘Product Hunt’ last year. With the successful attraction of the A2 investment, Business Canvas plans to accelerate its expansion into the global market through talent recruitment and establishing a global base in the second half of 2023.
Sui Generis CEO Kim Han-jae, who led the additional investment multi-closing after the 1st A2 round, said, “In addition to the new products and services that Business Canvas is currently preparing to launch, the results of research and development of generative AI-related products that match the consumer’s eye level and confidence is the background that led to the multi-closing.”
Kim Tae-young, head of finance at Business Canvas, said, “In addition to Typed, which was previously introduced, products and services the company is preparing to launch have received good reviews from investors.”
