NPCore: The company that specializes in APT, Ransomware malware preparing to enter the US market

The Zombie ZERO Inspector series security solution for defending against APT and Ransomware attacks, developed by Korean startup NP Core is getting distinct recognition and is being used by major institutions in the cybersecurity market in Korea. The startup is planning to strengthen its identity as an APT defense specialist, further expand its service to the Southeast Asian market and enter the US market as well.

ZombieZERO series blocks unknown malware as well

NPCore was established in 2008 with the aim to specialize in malware detection/response solutions in the cybersecurity market. The Zombie ZERO series developed by the company provides robust security information that helps to prevent ransomware, data exfiltration, and network damages. The defense product’s two-fold composition – one of the behavior-based defense products on Endpoint (EDR) and the second packet analysis product based on the behavior on Network (Inspector) interwork with each other to provide information. This minimizes the false positive rate and enables accurate judgment and prompt response, and detects/blocks malware that bypasses the network and infiltrates.

The existing anti-virus engines are not capable of responding to serious attacks like APT or Ransomware, a malicious software used to block user’s data unless a ransom is paid. ZombieZERO can detect this dangerous malware as well respond through its endpoint security. The ZombieZERO Inspector can also be run with a ‘Manager’ that can be operated as Cloud type.

Company gets positive recognition globally

ZombieZERO products are offered based upon hardware sales, maintenance, and licensing condition. The startup plans to offer subscription deals for its cloud-type service feature besides easy installation. The company is already serving a number of institutions in Korea like government offices, financial organizations, universities, etc. The company plans to expand its ongoing SECaaS business model with Korea Telecom and collaborate with overseas telecom companies based on it. NPCore has references for the ZombieZERO series from than 80 references from domestic and foreign public institutions, corporations, universities and financial institutions. NPCore has earned recognition in the Gartner Analyst report on information protection.

NPCore has plans to expand its position in the EDR and SECaaS markets and hopes to acquire international CC certification for entry to markets like the USA. The company already has branch offices in the US and Vietnam since 2014. The startup has distributors in Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, and Dubai.  NPCore also has a plan to come up with an IPO soon and get listed by 2021 at KOSDAQ. The startup has the vision to become a global security professional company that represents Korea in the future.

NP Core is attended the ‘Guro Innovation Summit’ 2019 to pitch its product for exploring investment and funding opportunities. The Summit is to be organized by the Guro district office and Seoul Venture Incubator (SVI) in partnership with beSUCCESS on July 18th, 2019 at the G-Valley Convention.
