Korean metaverse company Vive Studios has attracted an investment of 9.5 billion won ($7.4 million)from NPX Capital through its private equity firm NPX Private Equity. NPX Capital is a global alternative investment company investing in media and content companies. Founded in 2003, Vive Studios is a virtual production and AI-based metaverse content company.
Major metaverse contents produced by Vive Studios include the BTS AR concert, which produced BTS’ Suga as a hologram at ‘2020 MAMA (Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS)’, MBC VR human documentary ‘I Met You.’ Hybe BTS original story video collaboration, the 20th presidential election counting broadcast, the former president restored to a virtual human, and the VR movie ‘Volt’ series.
AI-Virtual Human content production in full swing
Vive Studios is developing the AI Virtual Human business and is spurring R&D for the commercialization of advanced AI virtual human technology. The company continues to produce ultra-realistic virtual content through its self-developed virtual production integrated solution ‘VIT (Vivestudios Immersive Technology).’

Last year NPX Capital invested 65.4 billion won in digital content developer Copin Communications and 24.2 billion won together with Kiwoom Securities in TOPCO, a content company that operates the webtoon platform Toptoon.
