Korean startup Business Canvas Inc.’s work collaboration tool ‘Typed’ is a big hit among students of American Universities. Typed, a document-based knowledge management collaboration tool developed and operated by Business Canvas, signed partnerships with Stanport University, UC Berkeley, and the University of Michigan to prove its global capabilities.
Business Canvas reported that four months after the typed service entered the US, more than 1,200 students at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Yale University, and the University of Michigan received individual and group assignments through Typed. The tool is being used to write dissertations and job application forms. Typed supports efficient document creation and knowledge management, making it popular among the student community.
Typed helps save time & ensure efficiency
With Typed, about 80 % of the existing research and document creation time can be saved through functions such as simple data collection through web extension, a split viewer that enables document creation and data inquiry at the same time, and a knowledge network that shows the relationship between created documents and data.
In particular, last March, at the University of Berkeley, an event was organized to certify the use of Typed. During the midterm exams the tool caused a ‘Typed storm’ among students through social media. At the University of Michigan, Business Canvas’ Business Manager Min-Seung Yoo was invited to a lecture conference for students interested in entrepreneurship and business to introduce Typed and share vivid experiences with startup businesses.
Seo Tae-woong, general manager of Business Canvas USA, said, “Typed services are rapidly gaining interest among American college students. The goal is to make it happen.” On the other hand, Typed is recording explosive growth by collecting more than 20,000 users from 150 countries within one month of the open beta release. It maintains partnerships with leading universities such as Yonsei University in Korea, Kyunghee University, and Waseda University in Japan. Business Canvas Inc., a B2B Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution provider in South Korea, raised nearly $2 million in seed funding in 2021 and launched Typed in the later half of 2021.
