Korean startup SmartMind, which has developed an AI transformation solution, gets the ‘Star of Stars’ at COMEUP 2022. COMEUP 2022 is Korea’s flagship startup conference, held successfully from Nov 9 to 11 in Seoul. SmartMind’s technology got a lot of positive attention from the audiences and investors at the conference.
SmartMind team showcased ThanoSQL at COMEUP 2022, which allows “to build Jarvis with just four lines of codes.” In more technical terms, the relational database (“RDB”) ThanoSQL is a unified data-type agnostic big data governance and enablement platform, which lets the users with the minimum SQL literacy can both store and query on any type of data – be it structured or unstructured, and even train and deploy AI models with such data directly off the RDB.
SmartMind is co-founded by Sangsoo ‘Brandon’ Lee and Jungtek ‘Jake’ Lim. They bring nearly four decades of hands-on experience in AI, data science, distributed computing and embedded system design.

SmartMind has signed with APR, a consumer brand unicorn out of Korea, as its first customer in just two months since the launch. SmartMind is also in talks with two more clients and poised to start global disruption in enterprises’ AI transformation.
