Korean EV charging solution company EVAR’s autonomous robot ‘Parky’ and ‘VMC’ (Van-Mounted Charger), were awarded Triple-Crown in CES 2023, the largest and most influential tech event. Through this award, EVAR (Electric Vehicle Automatic Recharging) became the first EV Charger manufacturer to receive five Innovation Awards from CES in two consecutive years.
Parky, an autonomous EV charging robot, won in the ‘Robotic’ and ‘Smart-Cities’ categories at CES 2023. Since the spin-off from Samsung Electronics, EVAR has been researching autonomous robots for efficient EV charging under the motto of ‘Hassle-Free EV Life.’ Unlike conventional fixed EV Charger, ESS mounted Parky is independent of a parking spot and charges EV when and where the driver needs it. Parky is the first market-ready product expected to launch in 2023 and will be released in the overseas market where regulations are less restricted.
‘Smart Cities’ category honoree VMC, Van-Mounted Charger, is the solution that can provide rapid EV charging when drivers need it most. VMC solution is specialized to an area where there is insufficient EV Charging Infrastructure and provides emergency relief to drained EVs and safeness to EV drivers. This unique solution is getting the spotlight from various insurance agencies and the telecare business. In Canada, Canadian DMEVS and EVAR will start VMC service in Dec. 2022.
EVAR started as a venture team of the Samsung Electronics C-Lab program and was spin-offed in 2018. Ever since the spin-off, EVAR successfully attracted Series A funding from Samsung Venture Investment, Hyundai Motors, and various top Korean Companies. In 2022, EVAR successfully led the Fixed-Fast Charger market with its Smart EV Charger, the CES 2022 Innovation Award Honoree. With this momentum, EVAR is expecting to attract ‘Series B funding’ in 2023 1Q.
EVAR’s Award-winning products will be displayed at CES Eureka Park, Las Vegas, between the 5th to 8th of January 2023. “We are overwhelmed that we won CES Innovation Award for the second year in a row while delivering over 10,000 Smart EV Chargers (CES 2022 Honoree) within the first year of release. Driven by this momentum and with our various EV Chargers, we wish to be the ultimate Global EV Charging Solution Provider” said Steve Lee, CEO of EVAR.
