AI-based self-driving intelligent platform Hills Robotics has attracted pre-series A investment. The Korea Small and Medium Business Venture Promotion Corporation participated in this investment, and the investment amount is not disclosed.
Hills Robotics is a startup that provides next-generation “AI + Robotics” technology that anyone can use for logistics centers, distribution stores, airports, hotels, hospitals, etc. that want to introduce intelligent robots. Distribution logistics robot, Embedded S/W ROS1, and Remote Multi-control Service (RMS/SCS/DIS) are all equipped to offer an integrated system from simple robot production to operation and follow-up management.
Hills Robotics said that through this investment, it will not only focus on reinforcing its technical manpower for software upgrades, but also use it as manufacturing funds (the costs for raw and subsidiary materials) for the products that have received POs.
Park Myeong-gyu, CEO of Hills Robotics, said, “Hills Robotics is planning to promote Series A investment one after another, and I am very happy that the Korea SME and Startup Agency has also been playing an important role, helping us with the Series A these days, often referred to as “investment ice age.” I believe this will be good chance for our company to grow into a “Scale-up Company” by getting selected as a “Super-gap Startup”. Based on this, Hills Robotics will strive to grow as a tech company that can leap forward in the overseas market.”
Hills Robotics was selected as one of the companies in the robot industries 랙 the Super Gap Startup +1000 program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups this year and will receive government support for the next three years. In addition, the company announced that it plans to enter the overseas market after acquiring Underwriters Laboratories Inc. certification, a US safety certification.
