Seoul-based event tech startup EventUs recently hosted the SG-KR MICE Tourism Networking Dinner in Singapore on October 31, 2023. The event, held at the impressive DuoTower Spectrum, saw participation from 40 esteemed professionals in Singapore’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) and tourism industry, including representatives from the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS).
EventUs exhibited event management solutions at the global debut, providing a seamless experience for attendees. The platform’s all-encompassing global services, ranging from participant recruitment to on-site QR check-in, name tag printing, interactive quizzes, and thrilling prize drawings, left a lasting impression on the Singapore MICE industry representatives who commended the user-friendly interface and engaging features.
This event is not only EventUs’ successful global debut but it is also a strategic move towards international expansion. EventUs inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the event with a local partner in Singapore, laying the groundwork for the startup’s venture into the Singaporean market. Looking ahead, EventUs plans to introduce paid event services tailored for local customer events in Singapore, commencing this November.
Ahn Young-hak, CEO of EventUs, shared insights into the choice of Singapore for their expansion, stating, “Singapore is renowned for hosting numerous global business events in Asia. Hence, it was our logical choice for our first foray into expanding within the Asian market, which is 72 times larger than Korea. We are committed to enhancing our global services, providing tailored solutions for Singapore and global events hosted in Korea.”
