A number of design and fabrication companies in the semiconductor manufacturing industry are facing the high recurring costs of parts like Test pins. Korean startup Awesomenics has devised a solution to reduce the Test cost.
Test pins are consumable items used for the semiconductor and electronic parts testing market. Test pins need to be changed according to the changes in the IT device market with new releases. It is proving costly to manufacturers as new models are rolled out every few months.
Awesomenics is introducing a three-piece parts solution for Test Pin, while the market has four-piece parts. Awesomenics part has a smaller contact point making it a high Test yield. It saves manufacturing costs as it has an easy assembling process.
The company was founded in 2020 by CEO Kyle Jeong, who has vast experience in manufacturing and semiconductors. Awesomenics aims to get into mass production of Test pins and expand to the Test socket. The startup wants to expand to the global market with its cost-efficient product.
