Infofla Inc., a cutting-edge Korean AI automation startup, is rapidly transforming the landscape of IT service automation through its groundbreaking Vision Language Model (VLM) technology. At the forefront of generative AI, Infofla is gaining recognition for its innovative solutions that address the limitations of traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and set new benchmarks in AI-driven automation.

Tackling Traditional Automation Challenges

Founded with the mission to redefine how businesses approach repetitive tasks, Infofla identified key shortcomings in the existing automation ecosystem. Unlike script-based RPA, Infofla’s VLM enhances large language models (LLMs) with image processing capabilities, allowing AI to perceive and interpret screens just as humans do. This approach not only simplifies the automation process but also allows it to handle unexpected situations, such as pop-ups, by recognizing and reacting in real time.

One of the highlights of Infofla’s VLAgent is its ability to automate tasks without manual script creation, offering an intuitive and more reliable approach to IT service automation. In a demonstration, the AI autonomously controlled a PC to navigate Google Maps and search for directions between two Seoul locations, showcasing its real-world capabilities.

VLAgent: A Revolution in Automation Technology

At the heart of Infofla’s innovation is its flagship product, the VLAgent. Combining VLM technology with an AI agent model, VLAgent perceives screens and autonomously generates and executes commands without requiring manual input from users. The solution has been designed to be lightweight, functional on standard PCs, and offers support for 4K high-resolution displays and the Korean language, addressing key challenges in the domestic market.

Infofla has also integrated VLAgent into its AI-based integrated management system, ITOMS, and is offering the solution on AWS. The integration with Infofla’s real-time object recognition RPA system, Alpaca (RPACA), makes the company’s offerings even more versatile.

Future Applications and Global Potential

Infofla’s technology has applications across a variety of sectors. Whether automating business processes, providing support for the visually impaired, or enhancing customer service workflows, VLAgent and the broader VLM-based systems can adapt to diverse operational needs. Manufacturing, education, entertainment, and healthcare are just a few of the areas where Infofla’s solutions can bring transformative efficiency gains.

Choi In-mook, CEO of Infofla, said, “Our solution can be applied across various fields, including service and workflow automation, support for the visually impaired, entertainment, education, manufacturing, healthcare, and customer service.” He further emphasized, “This is essentially the first attempt of its kind in Korea, and it’s difficult to find similar examples even abroad.”

With its groundbreaking VLAgent technology and successful showcase at the AWS Summit Seoul 2024, Infofla is set to further cement its position as a hidden champion in the generative AI and automation sector, with ambitions for global expansion.
