Would you want to be digitally immortal for your loved ones? Or do you want to immortalize the memory of your parents digitally? Then DeepBrain AI, a Korean startup that creates virtual humans, has started a B2C service, ‘Re; memory,’ that recreates deceased family members using AI technology.

Re; Memory is an answer to the question is digital immortality possible? With the ‘Re; memory’ service, people can keep the healthy memories of their elderly parents forever as AI humans. Re; memory is a premium AI human service that creates artificial intelligence-based virtual humans that contain real humans’ faces, voices, and expressions by mimicking every aspect of the subject.

Recording data when alive to recreate AI Human

There is a simple process to attain digital immortality with Re; Memory. The elderly person will be interviewed when he or she is still alive. There will be real-time communication with users and visuals close to the humans. The company will work on different scenarios based on the individual’s memories of various life episodes.

Parents can talk about their favourite food or hobbies, share memories of traveling with their children, etc. In this way, a natural conversation becomes possible by creating scenarios and then learning the various episodes and stories between parents and children by AI humans.

DeepBrain Ai will videotape with the client for three hours in a professional studio to get the visual and voice data. The AI Human will be built based on the collected data and visuals. The client can request to check the first sample of the AI recreation.

The completed AI Human can be seen in the showroom dedicated to Re; memory of DeepBrain AI located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The customer can experience it for about 30 minutes per episode.

An official from Deep Brain AI said, “Re; memory service records video, audio, and memories through pre-interviews when the parents are alive, and then use AI  to create virtual humans. It is a service where you can meet the parent, even after death. Information related to changes in the family, such as the birth of a granddaughter, can be updated before coming to the showroom. Parents can also ask for the name of their daughter-in-law (son-in-law) or granddaughter ( grandson ) and deliver a message of blessing to wish them happiness.”

DeepBrain AI CEO Eric Jang said, “The launch of the Re; memory service is a part of AI human technology being reborn as a warm technology that comforts people. We will do our best to provide beneficial services to everyone beyond the commercial aspect.” DeepBrain AI is one of the top Korean companies awarded a CES Innovation Award Honoree 2022 for AI Human Technology.
