The most popular Korean metaverse platform among the Gen MZ, ZEPETO, surpassed 300 million subscribers. The platform also hosts a new ‘Softbank Shop’ created by its prime investor companies, Naver Z and Japan’s SoftBank.
‘SoftBank Shop’ is a metaverse shop that provides customer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, using avatars and chatting. From 10 am to 9 pm, an actual salesperson directly answers customer inquiries, and outside business hours, various service-related consultations are possible through the AI bot.
At the ZEPETO SoftBank shop, users can listen to the product descriptions from the staff and go to the official online shop to purchase the products or receive coupons that can be used in offline stores. Also in the pipeline are SoftBank and Y-Mobile’s official online store, which sells accessories and IoT products.
