The growing need for face recognition technology for security purposes provided the foundation for Korean startup CVT – Creative Value Technology. Led by a team of tech-experts, CVT was launched in 2015 with the mission to make face recognition security system more accessible and more secure.
CVT’s Face A+ works as a standalone system
Using 20 plus years of experience in embedded access control/camera/chip design, the company now provides unprecedentedly perfect facial authentication solutions. CVT has been growing steadily through collaboration and various support from major corporations. CVT’s Face A+ is a face recognition device for access control, time and attendance, and meal payment to simplify your everyday life.
CVT’s facial recognition & authentication technology has proved to be of an enterprise-grade high-security. While many companies offer similar facial recognition solution, only CVT has survived after multiple technical evaluations which have led large-scale companies to adopt its solutions. CVT’s embedded facial recognition system keeps running even in extreme conditions (earthquakes, fires) and is exempt from network delay and errors as it is a standalone system. The technology also prevents image quality loss, thus increasing accuracy. CVT’s Face A+ also enables multiple face recognition for more convenient use with enhanced security.
Growth expected in ‘touchless’ post-COVID era
In particular, in times of COVID-19, CVT offers a variety of solutions that befits the touchless lifestyle. The startup has completed PoC for a solution that recognizes the user’s face registered in the device, calls the elevator and guides them to the destination floor. CVT is also developing a face recognition kiosk that allows visitors to self-register in the system without having to go to the information desk. Furthermore, it is working on a face recognition doorbell for a smart home solution to be launched next year with a construction company.
CVT is also working to develop a cloud manager to manage users, multiple devices, and security level easily from the PC. The startup is also working on making an app for remote control through mobile. As for the overseas expansion, CVT is providing products in collaboration with Panasonic to Southeast Asia and has plans to sell products under development to overseas markets as well actively.
CVT is participating in the third edition of the “TIPS X beSUCCESS Korean startup showcase” to be held online on September 23-24,2020. TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for startup Korea) is South Korean government-backed incubator, and beSUCCESS is Korea’s leading startup media company. The highly successful first two editions of the startup showcase were held in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
