Korean startup ‘WeMeetPlace’ is developing a service that provides an exciting travel meet-up solution. The startup has a platform that recommends places where people can meet up and work out travel activities and plans together.
The WeMeetPlace platform recommends places and guides tourists. It provides meeting management, reservation, place recommendations, and social networking service (SNS) function targeting all generations.
It provides a mobile-based social network service (SNS) that matches users and local foreigners based on interest. Based on GPS and artificial intelligence, the platform supports matching users with common hobbies and interests in nearby spaces.
WeMeetPlace is quite popular among the MZ generation in South Korea. Within half a year after the launch of the beta version in 2021, it has been recognized for its competitiveness by securing users in more than 80 countries. It has made the service available in English in over 200 countries worldwide, becoming a global travel tech company.
WeMeetPlace is also part of the ‘Seoul Fintech Lab,’ a fintech accelerator funded by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The company is working on expanding features for its B2C app and creating a B2B option that can help hospitality and tourism-related companies.
