The Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (GBSA) has selected 12 companies to partake in the “Global Accelerator Program for Activating the Pangyo Ecosystem.”
This program aims to facilitate the successful international expansion of promising Gyeonggi-do startups showing high potential for entering global markets. The recruitment process ran from June 19th to July 19th. After assessing documents and English presentations, 12 companies were chosen. Post the final orientation session, these selected companies are slated to move into the Pangyo Startup Campus on August 1st.
The chosen twelve include: 1) GEOVENTURES, offering regular delivery of daily essentials, 2) CLIQUESOFT, a developer of a pet-care platform integrating electronic medical records (EMR) for veterinary clinics, 3) SKYRUN, a company enabling efficient analysis of solar power plants through thermal imaging drones, 4) FAIRY, a customer relationship management (CRM) marketing solution based on user online behavior data, 5) WORLD HOME DOCTOR by Dr. Friend, a sleep care provider, 6) ANYWARE, a developer of VMS assisting logistics center and plant management, 7) Ai-nomis, an AJ service provider saving users from tasks like coding, 8) ‘Tech ‘n Roll,’ an open broadcasting solution RollTV, 9) ÉKLEER, a creator of portable IoT displays that can connect to smartphones or laptops, 10) Hancom Genie K, an online tutoring platform for foreign Korean language learners, 11) ‘Pitch Interactive,’ the operator of the global sports entertainment platform PIE.
The selected companies will avail services like space at the Pangyo Startup Campus, one-on-one consulting and mentoring, tailored global market research reports, mock investment explanation sessions (IR), domestic and international demo days, and other start-up acceleration programs.
Jung Hangu, the Advanced Mobility Industry Manager, stated, “Through the ‘Global Accelerating Program for Activating the Pangyo Ecosystem,’ we aim to not only provide global expansion opportunities for local start-ups but also drive significant advancements in activating the Pangyo Techno Valley ecosystem.”
Remarkably, Wadda Inc., a participant in the 2020 program, secured an investment of 2.6 billion won for global expansion. They utilized space data collected through smartphone sensors, including Wi-Fi, to showcase accurate indoor spatial recognition technology. They have also been recognized for their global technological capabilities by winning the Innovation Award for two consecutive years (2022-2023) at the CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics show.
