At Japan IT Week Autumn 2025, held from October 22 to 24 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Korea’s software industry demonstrated measurable progress in its strategic expansion into Japan.
Under the leadership of the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), the KOREA NIPA Pavilion brought together 50 Korean software and SaaS companies—achieving USD 310 000 in contracts, 25 MOUs signed, and 1,383 export consultations valued at USD 163 million.
Within this larger national delegation, the GSMP (GLOBAL SaaS Market Place) Tokyo 2025 cohort stood out as a focused success story—securing USD 3.83 million in deals, two export contracts, and two cross-border MOUs, proving that Korean SaaS innovation has matured from pilot participation to sustained market engagement.
GSMP Tokyo 2025: Korean SaaS Companies Scale Up Collaboration with Japan
The GSMP program, operated by the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), Didim365, and the beSUCCESS Media Group, continues to serve as Korea’s flagship SaaS globalization platform—connecting enterprise-ready Korean startups directly with Japanese corporations, system integrators, and investors.
At this year’s event, the GSMP Tokyo delegation of nine companies showcased solutions spanning AI, cybersecurity, LegalTech, data analytics, low-code automation, EdTech, and productivity software.
Across three days, GSMP conducted 187 one-on-one business meetings and successfully signed two cross-border MOUs:
- Digitalog Technologies Co., Ltd. (Korea) ↔ Maverick Inc. (Japan / マーヴェリック株式会社) – joint marketing and localization for AI marketing solutions, and business collaboration in Japan.
- F1 Security Co., Ltd. (Korea) ↔ COCOA Inc. (Japan / 株式会社COCOA) – cooperation in web security and B2B digital infrastructure.
These agreements, emerging directly from GSMP’s curated matchmaking, highlight how Korean startups are forging localized growth models in Japan’s fast-digitizing enterprise ecosystem.

At the Japan IT Week 2025, GSMP Tokyo delegation successfully delivered measurable engagement, proof-of-concept discussions, as well as new partnership pipelines with Japanese and global enterprises.
Digitalog Technologies — AI-Driven Marketing Operations
Digitalog showcased its IMP platform to the Japan IT Week 2025 participants, gaining one of the most attentions, not just with the AI workflow automation, but also as one of the GSMP Tokyo delegations successfully signed a cross-border partnership MOU with Maverick Japan.
PLATEER — Personalized AI-CX Solutions
PLATEER’s demonstration of its AI-CX suite (Gelatto, Genser, Groobee) showed how Japanese retailers and financial institutions can leverage generative AI to enhance customer engagement, optimize search intent, and automate personalized marketing campaigns. The innovation attracted visitors’ interest in co-developing localized use cases tailored to Japan’s e-commerce and service sectors.
Opensurvey — AI-Powered Research and Experience Analytics
Opensurvey presented its Dataspace platform, an end-to-end research and analytics system that transforms customer and employee feedback into real-time insights. The platform’s ability to generate strategic recommendations automatically system attracted participants at the Japan IT Week 2025 as a critical advantage in accelerating decision-making cycles.
Newin — Touchclass Digital Learning Platform
Newin’s Touchclass platform attracted significant interest for its social learning interface and mobile-first usability. Beyond Japan, the company had also held meetings with representatives from educational institutions in Africa and universities in Brazil. As a follow-up to these meetings, the companies then continued their discussions further even after Japan IT Week 2025 to explore multi-region deployments of its digital training solution.

PolarisOffice — AI Productivity with “NOVA”
PolarisOffice showcased its cross-device productivity suite enhanced by the AI document agent “NOVA.” The solution drew attention at Japan IT Week 2025 for its real-time translation, summarization, and collaboration features—positioning it as a viable enterprise productivity tool for hybrid teams operating across borders.
Law&Company — SuperLawyer Generative AI for Legal Professionals
Meanwhile, Law&Company’s SuperLawyer platform demonstrated how AI-driven legal reasoning and document drafting can enhance compliance and efficiency. Attendees recognized its potential for Japan’s corporate legal departments, particularly in accelerating contract management and case review processes.
F1Security — AI-Based Web Defense Platform
Additionally, F1Security highlighted its Unified Web Security Service (UWSS). The company has successfully signed a memorandum of understanding with COCOA Inc. Japan, targeting collaboration in web security and B2B digital infrastructure. As part of the GSMP Tokyo delegation, F1Security demonstrated a strong case of turning exhibition exposure into a tangible cross-border partnership at Japan IT Week 2025.
STCLab — Traffic Management and System Stability
STCLab demonstrated NetFUNNEL, a telecom-scale traffic control SaaS that ensures service uptime during high traffic peaks. Together with WINS Technet, the company achieved export contracts totaling approximately USD 310,000 and established new partnerships with both Japanese enterprises and international system providers.
WINS Technet — Telecom-Grade Threat Intelligence
WINS Technet impressed visitors with SNIPER TMS-Plus, its integrated threat management platform used by Japan’s leading telecom carriers. Likewise, WINS Technet achieved USD 310,000 in export contracts with STCLab and confirmed new partnerships with Japanese and global partners.
Together, these nine SaaS innovators of GMSP Tokyo transformed their Japan IT Week presence into a showcase of execution, collaboration, and measurable progress, reaffirming that Korea’s startup ecosystem is not just entering Japan—it is actively shaping its digital transformation.
NIPA Strengthens Korea–Japan Digital Cooperation Framework
Beyond the exhibition floor, the Korea–Japan Digital Cooperation Seminar on October 22 at Hotel New Otani Makuhari brought together representatives from Japan’s Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
The seminar served as a policy-level dialogue to discuss digital transformation trends, market entry guidelines, and software certification strategies—reinforcing a framework for sustained bilateral cooperation in ICT and startup exchange.
Continuing the Momentum into 2026
With the success of GSMP Tokyo 2025 and the KOREA NIPA Pavilion, NIPA has confirmed its commitment to extend support for Korean software companies through 2026.
Follow-up initiatives include additional mentoring, online consultation platforms, and investment linkage programs to help convert discussions into sustained contracts in Japan.
As the GSMP initiative continues, Korea’s SaaS and cloud startups are no longer new entrants but emerging partners in Japan’s digital transformation journey.
