Eduwill and Kmong Team Up as Korea’s Education Market Shifts Toward AI-Driven Skills

Korea’s education industry is quietly redefining what it means to learn for the AI economy. As automation reshapes labor demand, traditional certification courses are giving way to market-driven training that links expert practitioners directly with learners. Eduwill and Kmong’s latest partnership marks a turning point in how Korea aligns education with digital transformation and employability.

Eduwill and Kmong Sign MOU to Develop AI and Digital Training Content

Eduwill, one of Korea’s leading education service providers, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with freelance marketplace platform Kmong to jointly develop AI and digital education content. The signing ceremony took place on February 2 at Eduwill’s headquarters in Guro-gu, Seoul, and was officially announced the following day.

The partnership aims to respond to the accelerating digital transition by creating practice-oriented training programs focused on AI and digital technology. Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate across multiple areas:

  • Joint planning and development of AI and digital education content
  • Online course production and operation
  • Instructor matching through Kmong’s professional talent pool
  • Cooperation in content sales, distribution, and marketing
  • Co-branding and promotional initiatives

Eduwill will oversee content production and course management based on its established curriculum design expertise. Kmong will connect working professionals from its platform to serve as instructors, ensuring that learners gain up-to-date, field-tested skills directly from industry experts.

Both sides plan to pilot initial courses and expand into full-scale regular programs based on performance results.

Why This Partnership Reflects a Structural Shift

Korea’s education and job-training sectors are undergoing a major structural realignment as industries adopt AI technologies at scale. The demand for real-world, skills-based digital education has grown rapidly, driven by corporate reskilling needs and the rise of independent experts working through online platforms.

Eduwill, historically known for its test-preparation and professional certification programs, has been adapting its model toward digital competency training, reflecting how Korean learners now seek employability in AI-related roles rather than exam-based qualifications.

Kmong, Korea’s largest expert marketplace, provides a complementary ecosystem by connecting thousands of active practitioners — including developers, marketers, and AI engineers — with learners. The MOU effectively bridges Eduwill’s structured pedagogy with Kmong’s practical expertise, forming a hybrid education model tailored for the digital economy.

This partnership also aligns with Korea’s national digital transformation agenda, which prioritizes workforce readiness in AI, data, and deep-tech fields.

Eduwill and Kmong’s Emphasis on Practical and Scalable Learning

Eduwill CEO Yang Hyung-nam stated:

“We are pleased to collaborate with Kmong, Korea’s largest expert platform. By combining Eduwill’s operational expertise with Kmong’s professional network, we aim to introduce innovative education services essential in the AI era.”

Kmong CEO Park Hyun-ho said:

“The collaboration with Eduwill will connect the know-how of top-tier professionals on our platform with a systematic education framework. It will create tangible growth opportunities for learners navigating digital transformation.”

Both leaders highlighted that the partnership will help democratize access to advanced training by allowing learners to directly engage with practitioners who are shaping Korea’s AI and digital industries.

Eduwill & Kmong Partnership: A New Model for Korea’s EdTech and Skills Market

The Eduwill–Kmong partnership underscores a broader trend across Korea’s education technology (EdTech) and skills training sectors: the convergence of structured learning systems with platform-driven labor expertise.

While traditional education institutions have focused on academic curricula, the post-pandemic labor market increasingly rewards hands-on, industry-integrated learning. By leveraging Kmong’s verified professional pool, Eduwill can diversify beyond its certification-based model and address the country’s widening AI skills gap.

For freelancers and corporate professionals, the initiative also creates new revenue and training pathways — an early example of how Korea’s expert economy is merging with its education economy.

In the long run, such models could serve as templates for scalable workforce development frameworks across Asia’s rapidly digitizing economies.

Toward a Practice-First AI Education Era

Eduwill and Kmong’s partnership signals that the future of learning in Korea will be collaborative, modular, and market-linked. It demonstrates how AI education is shifting from theoretical understanding to application-based mastery — designed not just for students, but for an entire workforce in transition.

As Korea deepens its national push for AI and digital transformation to become world’s leading AI nation, this hybrid education model could redefine how private-sector collaborations support human capital development.
