K-Dramas are becoming quite popular outside Korea as well, and that is why international streaming network Netflix has added a slew of exciting K-Drama series to its repertoire. The recent romantic dramedy series ‘Crash Landing on You,’ is garnering rave reviews and viewership across the world with its streaming on Netflix International. The series about the odd romance between a South Korean heiress of a conglomerate and a high-ranking North Korean officer, is entering the second half of the season.
The series had taken a week’s break for the Lunar New Year holiday in South Korea. The fresh eleventh episode of the series will be available for Netflix subscribers from February 2.
Studio Dragon has created the Netflix Original K-Drama. Crash Landing on You is directed by Lee Jung-hyo (Romance is a Bonus Book, The Good Wife), and written by Park Ji-eun (My Love for the Star, Queen of Housewives). The series consists of 16 episodes and has been recorded in Dolby Digital. The first script reading took place on July 31, 2019, in Sangam-dong, Seoul, and filming overseas started at the end of August 2019.
The series starring most popular Korean celebrity actors Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin, Kim Jung-hyun, and Seo Ji-hye, also premiered on Korean network tvN on December 14, 2019. The series is also known by names ‘Emergency Love Landing’, ‘Love’s Crash Landing’ and ‘Crash Landing of Love.’
Netflix International has been adding a number of K-Drama series to its platform because of an increase in demand from international audiences.
