Vietnam is fast becoming one of Asia’s most dynamic innovation frontiers. As global investors and policymakers turn their eyes to Ho Chi Minh City this November, the Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025 will set the stage for a deeper conversation, and not just about digital transformation and startups, but about how emerging economies can lead the next era of sustainable, cross-border innovation.
Vietnam Positions Innovation as a National Growth Engine
As Vietnam moves to join the world’s Top 30 innovation-driven economies within the next decade, its government and ecosystem leaders emphasize that innovation must become a mindset and way of life for every citizen and organization.
The Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025 (VIS 2025), themed “Building Bridges to Innovation and Growth,” is a central step in that direction. Scheduled for November 6–7, 2025, at the Riverside Palace in Ho Chi Minh City, the summit aims to reinforce Vietnam’s position as a fast-rising hub in the Asia-Pacific innovation landscape.
Jointly organized by InnoLab Asia, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, and Doanh Nhân Sài Gòn Magazine, the event will gather more than 3,000 participants and 150 experts from over 30 countries, including policymakers, startup founders, investors, and corporate executives.
Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025: Four Stages, One Ecosystem Vision
To reflect the complexity of today’s innovation economy, VIS 2025 will feature four experience zones, each addressing a key pillar of ecosystem development:
- Inno Stage: High-level dialogue on global innovation policies, strategies, and emerging economic trends.
- Beyond Stage: Sector-focused discussions across AI, fintech, ESG, smart manufacturing, and green finance, illustrating Vietnam’s growing focus on advanced industries.
- Connect Stage: A technology exhibition space featuring solutions from corporations, SMEs, and regional innovation centers.
- Collab Stage: A dynamic platform facilitating 1:1 meetings among startups, investors, and international partners to spark collaboration and investment opportunities.
Alongside formal sessions, VIS 2025 will include innovation exhibitions, investor networking programs, and case study showcases, providing practical access to technology trends and cross-border funding networks.

A Turning Point in Vietnam’s Digital Economy
The summit arrives at a decisive moment in Vietnam’s transition toward a digital and knowledge-based economy. The country is witnessing rapid expansion in e-commerce, fintech, logistics, and smart manufacturing, supported by a young and highly skilled workforce.
According to Ted Osius, President and CEO of the US–ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Vietnam has become a critical link in the regional supply chain and a key growth driver in ASEAN,
“As the fastest-growing market in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has the potential to become a logistics and manufacturing hub for the region once major infrastructure projects such as Long Thanh Airport are completed.”
He added that USABC, representing 190 global corporations in technology, healthcare, energy, and finance, seeks to build deeper partnerships between its members and Vietnam’s startup and SME ecosystem.
“USABC and VIS 2025 can strengthen those linkages, supporting Vietnam’s goal of entering the world’s Top 20 economies by 2045.”
Regional Leaders Recognize Vietnam’s Strategic Advantage
Echoing this sentiment, Peter Mok, General Manager of the Qianhai–Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (Ehub), described Vietnam as one of Asia’s most promising emerging innovation centers,
“Vietnam’s young, dynamic, and well-educated population is quickly developing into a high-quality tech workforce. Combined with competitive production costs and forward-thinking policies in AI, semiconductors, and smart manufacturing, Vietnam is becoming a strong magnet for international investment.”
Mok emphasized that participating in VIS 2025 allows global companies to gain deeper market understanding while engaging directly with leading Asian startups and technology corporations.
“We look forward to collaborating with partners such as InnoLab Asia to strengthen regional connectivity and create tangible impact across the technology ecosystem,” he noted.
Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025: An Action Platform, Not Just a Conference
More than a policy dialogue, VIS 2025 is positioned as a practical launchpad for Vietnamese enterprises seeking to scale globally. It offers a space where ideas meet investors, technologies meet markets, and startups connect with global partners.
Huỳnh Công Thắng, Founder and Chairman of InnoLab Asia, described the summit as a bridge between strategy and execution,
“VIS 2025 is not just a forum for discussion. It is an action platform where Vietnamese businesses can access technologies, learn from successful international case studies, and form partnerships to digitalize, green their operations, and expand to global markets.”

Key agenda themes will include digital transformation, high-tech talent development, sustainable finance, and international collaboration. These topics reflect the broader goal of creating a sustainable innovation ecosystem that drives long-term growth while elevating Vietnam’s role on the global innovation map.
Building Bridges Across Asia’s Innovation Ecosystem
The Vietnam Innovation Summit has evolved into one of the Asia-Pacific region’s most trusted innovation platforms. Originating from the Open Innovation Vietnam initiative launched in 2018, VIS has continuously expanded its influence as a meeting point for governments, corporations, investors, and universities across more than 30 countries.
Beyond thought leadership, VIS serves as an international bridge — transferring knowledge, capital, and collaborative models from leading innovation ecosystems into Vietnam, while showcasing Vietnamese ideas and technologies to the world.
Its mission aligns with the broader regional momentum toward collaboration among governments, corporates, and startups to strengthen competitiveness and drive sustainable, innovation-led growth.
A Shared Vision of Sustainable Growth at Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025
By gathering regional stakeholders, Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025 emphasizes that innovation is not confined to laboratories or startups. It is a collective endeavor connecting science, business, and policy toward a common goal — building bridges between economies and ideas.
As Asia’s innovation landscape becomes increasingly interconnected, Vietnam’s ambition reflects a wider regional movement toward collaboration, sustainability, and open innovation. VIS 2025 stands as a shared vision for the Asia-Pacific innovation future, where emerging economies act not only as participants but as co-creators shaping global progress.
