South Korean IT service provider startup Network Digital Signage (NDS)’s Q-Robot was the show stealer at GITEX, the Middle East region’s largest information technology show held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The 41st edition of the show was held from October 17-21, 2021, featuring the world’s leading IT companies displaying the latest products and trends in the industry from around the world. The event, which attracted thousands of tech enthusiasts from around the globe.

The event highlights for 2021 were artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud, blockchain, cybersecurity, big data, quantum computing, immersive technologies, finance, and other new technologies. At the event, NDS’s Q-Robot was a connoisseur of guiding participants across the exhibition hall, and it had many eyeballs rolling.

Q-Robot the show stopper at GITEX

Q-robot is autonomous driving, voice recognition, and wayfinding robot. It is designed to assist visitors at public organizations and tourist spots, and it can be the best employee to offer non-personal service.

NDS demonstrated its robot at GITEX, 2021 and showcased with live demos how it is developed to be accommodated at airports, events, and different industries’ needs to assist people and lead them to the right spot.

The robot was available for live demo at NDS’s booth during the exhibition. To visitors’ surprise, the robot helped them navigate the venue during the tech trade show with its diversified aspects and assisted in directing people towards different company stands.

The robot’s duty was not only confined to guiding people to various kiosks but it also led the way by assisting guests to locate food stores and washing rooms. NDS’s latest creation is fully functional on Android software, simplifying the application for smartphone users, and one can plug and play to indulge in a conversation with their guide.

The company that is simplifying advertisements

Founded in 2008 by Kim Horatio, NDS solutions is engaged in the digital signage business. The company has two software, namely Q sign and Q Wayfinder, and Q sign is a digital signage program with simple UI.

It can broadcast and manage video, image, data, etc., providing support in 15 languages. The software can run various content in various formats all over the world.

Meanwhile, Q-Wayfinder is an authoring tool for producing interactive content, and it is an interactive touch application authoring software developed seven years ago. NDS has had some key projects in Korea and the Middle East, China, Singapore, and the USA in the last seven years.

In the last two years, the company secured around $ 700,000 for R&D. So, they updated their software to make it available on the cloud, and NDS is now ready to service globally with both of their software. In addition to it, the company also produces interactive kiosks, and it can make interactive indoor kiosks, outdoor kiosks, LED, etc., providing it leverage as both hardware and software solutions.
