Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Can you run all the devices at home and keep the surroundings healthy? That might sound odd, but Korean startup On Tech has created a smart mirror that connects with all IoT devices at home and can control the devices from various spaces. The smart mirror also sterilizes the home environment with its in-built technology.

Smart Mirror with multiple features

On Tech’s Smart Mirror supports a variety of information delivery through a hardware configuration that combines mirror and display capabilities. The Smart Mirror has voice/touch control, basic LED lights, can check weather and news, allows Internet browsing and watch videos. The mirror also takes care of health and sanitation at the home by connecting to IoT devices that are for healthcare, and it also has differentiated functions such as sterilization, harmful electromagnetic offsetting, relieving eye drying/fatigue/stress, and concentration improvement.

On Tech is developing the smart mirrors features with smart sterilizing lighting with built-in quarantine functions that can be installed in places where viruses are suspected to spread, like indoor kitchens, dining tables, bathroom, and dress room, and where family members stay for a long time. The smart mirror’s another feature development is its motion detection function that activates when there are no people in the room, and the quarantine light effects space-wide sterilization. OnTech’s product while is expensive than available options in the market it promises a longer service life of more than 30,000 hours. The mirror’s charging adapters use  S company’s home appliances and withstand voltage normal operation.

For the smart sterilizing mirror, On Tech’s market strategy is to market in the healthcare and heath-tech sector. Besides the local Korean market, the startup wants to target business growth in US, China, Japan, etc. At present OnTech’s smart mirror products have been installed in model houses in Korea and available at household furniture manufacturers. The company is in talks with sales agency in China for distribution of its smart mirrors. The company aims to help in disinfecting public spaces like hospitals, schools, and academies through installation of its smart sterilizing products. Established in 2017, On Tech has been innovating in the field of technology with various products. It has developed various Home IoT devices like smartphone app control inside and outside the house to voice control through AI speakers inside the house, home appliances control, etc.
