Korean startup Looko’s mobile service ‘Acloset’ is gaining much attention from consumers in the global market. Acloset is a digital wardrobe application for fashion lovers, which has collected over 800,000 users within 18 months of its launch, of which 95% were global users.

Acloset provides a new way to select outfits, shop for fashion items, and share fashion ideas with others based on your closet.  After creating your digital wardrobe, you can get lots of great outfit ideas with your clothes, which reduce your stress from choosing proper outfits for weather and special occasions.

Also, you can enjoy shopping smartly based on your wearing habits such as wearing frequencies of each clothes and your preferred combination of them. Moreover, you can get useful and practical fashion ideas from many people by opening your digital wardrobe, which enables others to directly recommend daily outfit ideas with your clothes.

Acloset’s largest number of users are from the US with 123,000 users (15%), followed by Spain (14%, 114,800 people), and France (6%, 49,200 people). The number of Korean users is 49,000. By age and gender, women in their teens and twenties accounted for 85% of the total users.

LooKo is a startup founded by members from KAIST and ETRI, which are prestigious research institutions in South Korea. Looko has been selected as one of the promising style tech companies in 2021 by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion and is now preparing to collaborate with large and medium-sized fashion brands.  

Heasin Ko, CEO of Looko, said, “Clothes data of individuals will play a crucial role for hyper-personalization in the future, which will eventually overcome the problem of “nothing to wear” in your fashion life.”
