Korean craft beer company GGeek recently made headlines by winning gold and bronze medals at the 2024 International Beer Cup (IBC), while also being named the category champion. The International Beer Cup is Japan’s largest international beer competition, hosted by the Japan Craft Beer Association since 1996. Held in Sapporo, Japan from October to November 13, 2024, the competition featured 1,423 beers from 370 breweries in 20 countries around the world.
At this competition, GGeek Company’s New Green beer won the gold medal in the Wild Beer category, and New Green was also selected as the Gold of Golds in the Microbic Fermented category. The Champion is the best beer among the beers that won gold medals in 12 major categories. GGeek’s Chu Rye beer also won the bronze medal in the Rye Beer category.
