BEYOND Expo 2025 wrapped up its fifth and biggest edition at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo on May 24, solidifying its reputation as Asia’s leading stage for innovation, global collaboration, and visionary technology. Under the theme “Empowering Asia, Bridging the World,” the event drew over 800 pioneering companies, 800+ investors, and an estimated 25,000 visitors, creating a dynamic space where the brightest minds and boldest startups converged with industry giants to shape the future.
Launched in 2021, BEYOND Expo has evolved into more than just an exhibition — it’s a powerful ecosystem driving the collective development of Asia-Pacific’s innovation landscape. This year’s packed agenda spanned cutting-edge sectors including AI, HealthTech, Clean Energy, Robotics, FinTech, Lifestyle Tech, SportsTech, and beyond.

Visionaries Lead the Conversation
The Opening Ceremony’s headline panel, “What’s Next?”, brought together Asian tech luminaries:

The session sparked dialogue on the future of Asian innovation, global expansion, and the importance of trust — a theme emphasized by Alibaba Group Chairman Joe Tsai, who underscored that trust is the foundation of long-term collaboration, innovation, and success.
In a fireside chat with BEYOND Expo Co-Founder Jason Ho, Alibaba Group Chairman Joe Tsai highlighted the significance of trust in business, stating, “Trust is built up over time. It’s very difficult to establish trust overnight. It’s all about people working together to achieve a goal.” He emphasized that Alibaba’s mission, established 26 years ago—to make it easy to do business anywhere—remains unchanged.
Spotlight on Global Collaboration
BEYOND Expo’s hallmark is its cross-border engagement. This year’s BGlobal Summit featured keynote addresses from:
- H.E. Djauhari Oratmangun, Indonesian Ambassador to China, highlighting investment opportunities in Indonesia and Asia
- Takeo Kawamura, 76th Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan, discussing Japan’s approach to globalization and international cooperation
Across multiple forums — including the Asia-Europe Tech Forum, Japan Tech Forum, Middle East-Asia Forum, ORIGIN Southeast Asia Tech Forum, and SheTech Summit — conversations centered on leveraging human-centric technologies to solve global challenges.

Empowering the Next Generation
The official launch of the BEYOND Founders Club (BFC) added a powerful new chapter to the Expo. With 30 founding members, BFC connects rising Asian tech entrepreneurs and innovators committed to guiding the next generation in developing sustainable solutions to global problems.

This year, over 150 companies competed for funding, gaining exposure to more than 100 top investors.
