The Sleeptech market is growing worldwide as many new technologies and companies bring meaningful products and services to help people sleep better.

Korean startup BRLab, a company specializing in digital healthcare and sleep tech, has launched a platform ‘Zable’ that provides advanced sleep analysis and sleep improvement solutions. The solutions, based on AI-powered algorithm and contactless sensing, helps people get  better sleep experiences without changing lifestyle.

For its competitive edge in the market, the startup has attracted investment worth 7 billion won ($5.3 million). The startup’s cumulative investment is about 9 billion won ($6.9 million). Major institutional investors in BRLab include Daol Investment, KB Securities, Insight Equity Partners, Tigris Investment, Nau IB, BDC Lab, Youkyung PSG, Aju IB, and Cosine Investment. BRLab is in the process of collaborating with major companies for a strategic investment.

BRLab’s sleep platform Zable operates naturally without the user wearing or controlling separate equipment. It is characterized by continuously measuring sleep data while going about daily life as usual and inducing significantly improved quality of sleep based on high accuracy.  

BRLab’s leading technologies include ‘non-restraint biometric information and sleep signal monitoring technology’ and ‘parasympathetic nerve activation and deep sleep enhancement and disease improvement technology,’ which have the highest accuracy and validity level. In addition, data-based user state estimation and cognitive behavior protocol (AI coaching) are also vital technology verified through long-term research.

 BRLab was started in collaboration with Seoul National University College of Medicine and Bio-Signal and Information Lab, which have been studying bio-signals and sleep. BRLab makes products and services using vital signs, sleep monitoring and improvement technologies with various domestic and foreign partners. In the first half of 2023, the startup plans to release consumer and wellness products and services.
