Through the sustainable architecture marketplace platform company Energy X, one of the world’s top building solutions companies Reynaers Aluminium takes its first step in the South Korean market.

“We are delighted and excited to be able to provide all of Reynaers’s world-leading products in Korea through the Energy X platform,” said Jurgen Cop, Reynaers’s Asia General Manager.

In addition, the two companies held a joint development MOU ceremony on the 6th of April for a sustainable future of architecture. Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly develop a carbon-neutral architecture model and supply sustainable building materials in response to climate change.

To supply sustainable building materials in Korea, Energy X operates its Store on the platform to provide services so that building owners and contractors can conveniently purchase sustainable building materials online. The two companies shared their plans to actively utilize their specialized fields and exchange technologies.

Energy X is an AI-powered online sustainable architecture platform company that supports and provides 100% of a construction process from design, construction, financing, supervision, and maintenance through a transparent online platform service for new Zero Energy Buildings, Green Remodeling, Corporate Energy Transitions, and Renewable Energy Installations.

Selected as a K-Unicorn startup by the Korean government, the three-year-old startup Energy X now has $960mn worth projects under management on its platform. Energy X is creating an IT eco-system through innovation in the sustainable building sector that enables buildings to directly produce and use clean energy. Energy X is currently building its own headquarters that will become a symbol to the Korean sustainable architecture scene as the first commercial net-zero energy building in Korea.

Co-CEO of Energy X, Sean Park stated, “The closed and inconvenient construction market is rapidly expanding through our data-based transparent online services. And the sustainable building market is currently led by Energy X’s unique innovation.”

Reynaers Aluminium is a world leader in the development of Aluminium solutions for construction. The company provides a variety of products in the building sector, ranking within the top 1 to 3 in the world. Employing more than 2,800 people in 40 countries with exports to 72 countries on 5 continents, Reynaers Aluminium is entering the Korean market with Energy X.

“We shall lead Korea’s innovation in construction through Energy X’s sustainable architecture platform” said Jurgen Cop, the Asia General Manager of Reynaers Aluminium.
