Hair loss is a massive issue for millennials and Gen X men, who constantly look for better and easier options to maintain luscious hair. Refilled is a Korean brand specializing in hair loss, which increases hair density and thickness as a patented raw material, and diagnoses and manages scalp and hair in detail with scanning devices and artificial intelligence analysis services to present practical solutions to hair loss care.
The Korean startup Constant which operates the hair loss care service ‘Refilled,’ has attracted 700 million won or $56k of seed investment from Spring Camp. Refilled’s main service is a home care program using patented ingredients for hair growth developed by Yang Mi-kyung, a former medical doctor from Seoul National University, and a scalp scanner developed in-house. It offers various hair loss solutions and customized contents suitable for diagnosis results and scalp conditions as a platform that can empirically manage individual changes rather than simply providing hair loss care products.
Goal to become a super app for ‘hair’ problems
Constant plans to expand its scope into an all-in-one hair loss health care program based on this investment attraction.
“From hair loss management products to services, we will add diversity to our products and subscription services and expand our business’s breadth and depth by increasing service connection points and expertise through non-face-to-face hair loss treatment consultations. In addition, we plan to accelerate the recruitment of excellent talent,” Constant CEO Jeong Geun-sik said.
Sohn Gyun-woo, team leader of Spring Camp, who led this investment, said, “Constant is growing solidly with a remarkable growth rate in hair loss health care service. Starting with hair loss care products, it is expected that in the future, it will establish itself as a hair loss tech super app that tracks hair loss improvement status by recommending personalized habits, nutrients, medicines, and hair transplants for hair loss improvement. As an investment company, I am happy to work with Constant, which will lead innovation in the domestic hair loss health market.”
Constant CEO Jeong Geun-sik said, “The interest in hair loss and scalp health is higher than ever, confirming that more and more people are sympathizing with the direction Constant is pursuing. Starting, we will continue to make innovative attempts to help people suffering from hair loss.”
