The retail market worldwide is going for automation technology upgradation. There is an increase in the deployment of ESLs or Electronic shelf Label solutions that is helping retailers reduce the overall operating cost, labor cost, and time. Korean company Apelles has introduced an ESL solution, Tiktag, to display label information through wireless communication.
Apelles’ ESL solution Tiktag is simple to install, and it is possible to update product information through a mobile app. The ESL solution will help small retailers digitize labeling and save money on managing resources. With ESLs, retailers do not have to depend on paper labels and signage prints, which can be time-consuming and expensive.
Apelles’ solution Tiktag has a competitive edge in the ESL market because of its simple installation and device life of about seven years. The Apelles ESL can be practical for smart stores, franchise owners and small local stores.
Per a report, the Electronic Shelf Label Market is expected to reach $2.57 billion by 2028. Stringent environmental regulations concerning the use of paper, the rising trend of retail automation, and the higher efficiency and time savings offered by ESLs compared to traditional paper labels are the factors driving the Electronic Shelf Label Market growth. Apelles want to target multiple retailers and international franchises for Tiktag.
