Aligo AI, a Korean startup specializing in artificial intelligence-driven advertising, has successfully secured a seed investment of KRW 200 million (approximately USD 152,000) from Seoul National University Technology Holdings. The investment is set to fuel the growth of Aligo AI’s flagship product, ‘Celevu,’ a revolutionary SNS display advertising model matching platform. This strategic investment comes at a time when the demand for Korean models in advertising is skyrocketing, fueled by the international popularity of K-pop and K-drama.
Aligo AI’s flagship product ‘Celevu’ is a groundbreaking SNS display advertising model matching platform. Designed to connect brands with Korean celebrities for online advertising campaigns seamlessly, CeleVu stands out for its ability to recommend optimal models within a remarkable 15-minute timeframe. Aligo AI strategically positions Celevu to address the rising demand for Korean models in the global advertising market, a demand previously limited to long-term contracts with luxury brands.
Celevu boasts an impressive roster of actors and singers from leading entertainment agencies such as JUST Entertainment and DSP Media. Collaborating with major global advertising agencies like Publicis Health and Publicis Sports & Entertainment, the platform is actively introducing these Korean talents to global brands, riding the wave of the increasing global interest in Korean content.
The recent investment from Seoul National University Technology Holdings is expected to expedite Celevu’s evolution into a premier platform for introducing Korean celebrities to the dynamic and rapidly growing global online advertising market. Algo AI spokesperson pointed out, “Global interest in Korean content such as K-pop and K-drama has increased, but overseas advertising orders for related celebrities are mainly limited to long-term contracts with global luxury brands. This investment will enable us to quickly position ‘Celevu’ as a platform to introduce Korean celebrities in earnest to the global online advertising market dominated by execution.”
Highlighting the significance of this investment, an official from Seoul National University Technology Holdings noted, “Even though the traditional advertising market is shrinking, online advertising is growing by more than 10% per year, and display and video advertising in which celebrities can appear account for 53%. As the global landscape embraces Korean entertainment, the demand for Korean models in online advertising is witnessing unprecedented growth. The Celevu service, with its AI-driven model recommendations, is poised to play a pivotal role in reshaping the dynamics of the global online advertising market.”
With its newfound financial support, Aligo AI is primed to lead the charge in meeting the global demand for Korean entertainment icons in advertising, marking a transformative moment at the intersection of artificial intelligence, celebrity endorsements, and the unparalleled allure of Korean entertainment on the world stage.
