In an era where startup ecosystems are competing to attract global innovation, Korea is quietly reshaping its role, launching startups abroad and inviting the world’s most promising tech founders into its own market. The upcoming K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day, led by beSUCCESS, signals the evolving ambition, transforming Seoul into a testing ground for ideas ready to bridge global industries.
Global Startups Debut at K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day in Seoul
Global startup media group beSUCCESS hosted the K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day on December 5 at TIPS Town S2 in Gangnam, Seoul, bringing together investors, founders, and corporate leaders exploring cross-border innovation.
The event, organized under the Global Startup Inbound Program led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), marked the first official showcase of global innovation startups selected through this year’s K-Scouter program.
Fourteen companies were previously chosen based on market-entry potential and technical competitiveness. Among them, ten startups took the stage to present their collaboration strategies and partnership models for the Korean market.
K-Scouter Program: Linking Global Innovation with Korean Industry
The K-Scouter Program supports foreign startups entering Korea, aligning with the government’s broader strategy to internationalize the nation’s innovation ecosystem.
This year’s cohort spans AI, fintech, healthcare, sustainability, and enterprise SaaS, reflecting the priority sectors shaping Korea’s digital and green-growth agenda.
The participating startups were identified for their potential to form partnerships with Korean corporations, research institutions, and public agencies, signaling a more structured pathway for inbound technology integration.
The event opened with a keynote by Jacob Jacquet, founder of the AI-based résumé platform Rezi. Drawing from his experience expanding operations in Korea, Jacquet outlined the strategic and operational preparations global founders need when entering an advanced yet highly regulated market. His insights—based on Rezi’s growth to millions of users worldwide—set the tone for a session centered on practical ecosystem learning.
Ten global startups later delivered their pitches:
- Genesis Studio – AI-driven translation technology for K-content
- Hunter Global – cultural-intelligence-based collaboration solutions
- KardioLabs AI – automated cardiac CT analysis technology
- Grus and Grade – sustainable agriculture supply-chain innovation
- Marymount Labs – behavioral-science-based patient communication platform
- APFS – infrastructure for installment insurance payments
- GAC Digital – enterprise digital-transformation solutions
- Yindii – Asia’s leading food-rescue platform
- scanO – AI-powered remote dental screening technology
- Crustea – smart aquaculture and renewable-energy farming solutions
Following the presentations, domestic and international VCs, corporate open-innovation leaders, and public officials joined a Q&A and networking session focused on identifying co-investment and co-development opportunities within Korea’s rapidly maturing tech ecosystem.
K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day by beSUCCESS: Official Entry Point for Global Startups to Korea
Serving as an official K-Scouter, beSUCCESS continues to serve as a strategic bridge connecting global founders and Korean innovation stakeholders, reinforcing its long-standing role in nurturing cross-border startup collaboration.
The company emphasized that the K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day serves as the official entry point for global startups seeking to embed within Korea’s innovation network.
According to CEO Hyun-wook James Jung,
“The selected companies are innovation teams that have achieved meaningful results in their respective countries.
We expect this Demo Day to strengthen tangible connections between Korea’s startup ecosystem and global technology players, helping Korea rise as Asia’s next innovation hub.”
This statement reinforces the platform’s long-term role as a bridge between global founders and Korean institutions, positioning beSUCCESS not merely as a media outlet but as an active ecosystem enabler.
Korea’s Growing Role in Global Startup Inbound
The 2025 K-Scouter Demo Day reflects Korea’s shift from export-oriented startup acceleration toward inbound innovation collaboration.
In recent years, the government has expanded support for foreign entrepreneurs through programs such as TIPS Global, K-Startup Grand Challenge, and now K-Scouter. Each of these programs is designed to attract high-potential technology ventures and encourage local partnerships.
Hence, this approach aligns with Korea’s broader economic strategy. That is especially when the country is pursuing an ambition of becoming the regional innovation hub connecting Asia with Europe and the Middle East and eventually soar among world’s top AI powerhouses.
By matching international founders with Korean conglomerates, research centers, and investors, programs like K-Scouter strengthen the country’s position as a launchpad for AI, sustainability, and healthtech solutions targeting both domestic and Asian markets.
Building a Connected Innovation Gateway
As global venture capital flows increasingly favor cross-border collaboration, Korea’s proactive stance in hosting inbound Demo Days highlights a policy-backed commitment to openness and technological convergence.
Founders gain new entry points into one of Asia’s most sophisticated markets, while Korean corporations gain access to a curated pipeline of verified, innovation-driven startups ready for partnership and localization.
The K-Scouter 2025 Demo Day thus marks more than a showcase—it represents a policy milestone in Korea’s ongoing effort to internationalize its startup ecosystem and foster mutual growth between domestic and global innovators.
