Anchor Node, an artificial intelligence ( AI ) gaming solution developer, has attracted seed investment from Future Play. The investment amount is confidential.
CEO Won Jae-ho, who founded Anchor Node in July 2023, is a game-developing veteran with over 25 years of experience in the field, including at top Korean gaming companies like Nexon and Neowiz. Won founded Anchor Node with about ten professional game developers who have worked together for 10 to 20 years.
According to industry reports, AI gaming solutions are expected to grow at an average annual growth rate ( CAGR ) of more than 80%. Despite the influx of companies in this sector, directly applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to gaming poses challenges due to the unique characteristics of each game. While major domestic and foreign game companies focus on internal content creation using AI gaming solutions, Anchor Node stands out by offering solutions directly applicable to global small and medium-sized game developers, constituting about 25% of global game sales.
Anchor Node plans to release an AI gaming image solution (image generation for games) in 2024. The goal is to provide a global service that can intuitively produce the desired image in a short time while maintaining the tone & manner of the original author for game images that are difficult to express with existing AI image solutions.
Anchor Node aims to launch an AI gaming image solution slated for release in 2024. This solution seeks to intuitively generate desired images while preserving the original author’s tone and style, catering to game images that existing AI solutions struggle to express. Notably, all pictures of the recently released ‘Bread Bear restaurant management game and the upcoming ‘Angel Coda’ subculture game were created using Anchor Node’s AI image solution, leading to ongoing partnership inquiries from major domestic and foreign companies.
Over the next three years, Anchor Node plans to offer various solutions to both Korean and foreign companies, including AI gaming images, NPC AI, genre-specific level testing simulators, and game profit optimization solutions. CEO Jaeho Won stated, “We established Anchor Node to democratize game development know-how across diverse genres through AI solutions, enabling many individuals to create and enjoy high-quality games together.”
Park Hyeong-soo, the responsible reviewer at Future Play, emphasized the importance of expertise in applying generative AI across industries, expressing confidence in Anchor Node’s potential to become a global leader in providing diverse AI solutions for the gaming industry, drawing from its two decades of game production experience and the history of the domestic game industry.
