Safeware Inc. (CEO Shin Hwan-cheol), a personal safety device company, participated in the IFA Global Markets in Berlin, Germany, and introduced C3, a smart wearable airbag. At this exhibition, Safeware displayed C3’s before and after operation and operated a product trial zone.
Safeware’s C3, which was invented purely with the company’s own technology, is a wearable safety device that prevents serious injuries from falls that may occur in various work environments. When the built-in sensor mounted on the C3 detects a fall with its specific algorithm, the electronic inflator inflates the airbag in 0.2 seconds, absorbing the shock that would hit the worker. In addition, it detects emergency and delivers the situation and location information to pre-set contact number through an app connected to the airbag, helping the injured person secure golden time for rescue.
Jang Sung-Hwan, head of Safeware’s Global Business Department, said, “Our C3 is simple to wear like a vest, but it has a great function in protecting the body from the risk of serious injury. This product is already attracting attention from many visitors from different countries. We are also receiving calls from many companies regarding potential B2B partnerships.”
Shin Hwan-cheol, CEO of Safeware, said, “As the global market has recently been showing interest in Korea’s safety technology, we are also feeling that many countries are showing interest in our product’s excellent performance. We will do our best to expand our business to reduce the risk of injury for workers in industrial sites not only in Korea but also around the world.”
Safeware is a startup company located in Pangyo Techno Valley, Gyeonggi-do. The company’s smart airbag, C3 was recognized for its technological achievement by winning a gold medal in the personal technology smart wearable category at the 2023 Edison Awards in the United States.
