Korean Beauty & Lifestyle Influencer service company Leferi has acquired the popular beauty app ”Make Me Up”. Leferi aims to strengthen its data and tech capabilities by acquiring the platform company and increasing corporate value.
The Beauty & Lifestyle Influencer Business Group will utilize Make Me Up‘s data analysis and development capabilities to advance its accumulated data assets and systems. Through this acquisition, Leferi plans to build a hyper-personalized influencer-optimized matching solution and expand the target market to B2B2C using creators’ traffic.
Leferi to use Make Me Up technology
Make Me Up, based on personal cosmetic data in 2020, introduced ”My Dressing Table”, a beauty community app. It enables the Gen MZ users to exchange information on the beauty & cosmetics products and brands and convert to rewards based on personal cosmetic data. My Dressing Table app has over 80,000 products for users to communicate about. When a user uploads a picture of a cosmetic on the app, it evaluates it based on other reviews and recommendations.
In-seok Choi, CEO of Leferi, said, “This acquisition of Make Me Up is the first step in turning Leferi’s core values of content creation and influencer business know-how into technology. In addition, we plan to promote new businesses based on big data technology.” ” Kim So-yeon, the former CEO of Make Me Up, has been appointed as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and is responsible for improving various influencer business based products and services owned by Leferi.
