Korean startup BEMYPET Inc., developing content related to pet animal companionship targeted at children, attracted a strategic investment from the e-commerce company Pet Club. The two companies will be working together to launch a brand and conduct product planning, branding, distribution, and marketing. The investment amount is confidential.
Hyunjin Seong, CEO of BEMYPET, said, “Based on BEMYPET’s content creation, IP, and marketing capabilities, we want to create synergy by cooperating with Pet Club in the entire process of brand launching, online and offline marketing and distribution.”
Learn everything about pets
BEMYPET Inc.’s pet-content-based platform runs various theme-based informative pet-related content like pet food, training, behaviour, grooming, disease, etc. The content is text-based, animated, and even filmed content. The content is designed so that children can quickly grasp the concepts of pet animals and their care.
BEMYPET can just be like a companion animal for a child who can quickly learn things about the domesticated animal world. Whether the child has a pet or is pestering to get one, the parent can introduce him or her to BEMYPET. The platform answers all the complicated questions curious children ask. Few examples of what BEMYPET deals with are questions like –What fruit is dangerous for cats? Or how to help pets in summers? Or dangers outside the house for pets, etc. BEMYPET is also a useful, informative platform for pet parents, a.k.a; those who own pets.
Gaining popularity on social media channels
BEMYPET’s operates BEMYPET Life (companion animal knowledge information channel), BEYPET Creators (all animal content in the world), and BEMYPET comeback home (pet loss prevention registration service). The startup distributes its contents through web and app channels.
As of last month, the number of visitors to the BEMYPET content platform exceeded 500,000, and the number of subscribers to the YouTube channel reached about 300,000.
The startup has got investments from Strong Ventures and Knollwood Investment Advisory. The startup wants to create loyal followership for its content, build on e-commerce, other pet services, and monetize through it. BEMYPET plans to develop English content and expand globally. BEMYPET’s plans also include creating long-form animated content for OTT platforms.
