Video lecture-based online learning is becoming the “New Normal” for education. There are numerous online e-learning modules and classes that millions of people worldwide pursue. However, there are certain difficulties in video watching and taking notes.
Korean startup Bebridge Inc. wants to help online learners take notes easily as they go through with their online classes through its unique product Slid. The tool Slid helps online learners capture, record, and take notes while watching online lectures to make their knowledge database.
Creating a personal learning space for people to enhance knowledge
Slid is one of the smartest note-taking tools that can be used with any website like YouTube, Coursera, Udemy, etc. Writing notes offline while watching the video, switching between online note apps, or re-reviewing videos can be tedious tasks. With Slid, one doesn’t need to open a separate app, and it allows taking notes with website captures while watching the video. Slid needs to be installed as a Chrome extender.
Slid users can capture any chart, graph, or slide from the video as time-stamped screenshots. Slid automatically saves the notes along with original video links so that the user never loses them. Also, users can get shareable links for the notes to convert into PDF, Word, PNG, or Markdown.
Since its first launch in April 2020, Slid has gained many rave reviews and followers worldwide. The platform has more than 30K users managing notes in Slid. Slid offers a free plan which allows users to capture 200 times per month which is enough for free users for their online learnings. For heavy online learners who want to capture more than 300 times per month, they can get a membership which allows unlimited captures.
Slid started as a video note-taking app, but the company’s vision is to build an online learning workspace where people can discover, capture, and share new knowledge. The startup’s future plan is to introduce a learning community where people can share their notes written from Slid and ask Q&A about the learning topics they are currently pursuing.
