The Seoul Metropolitan Government is working towards its policy goal of increasing the healthy lifespan of Seoul citizens from 71.9 years to 74.8 years by 2030 by using smart devices through the ‘Seoul-style healthcare platform.
Under this initiative, Maum Class Co., Ltd., the company behind the popular meditation app ‘Elephant,’ has been chosen as a mental care service provider for the ‘Wrist Doctor 9988’ initiative, part of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s efforts to enhance citizen healthcare. In the first year of 2022, for the ‘Seoul-style healthcare platform,’ 50,000 Seoul citizens successfully enrolled. In the second year, 2023, the number of participants has drastically increased to 230,000.
‘Elephant’ has developed a specialized mental care service exclusively for Seoul citizens, integrating its app with the Wrist Doctor 9988 program and related companies in Seoul. This month, the service commenced, offering smartphone users access to a selection of Elephant’s unique content, including meditation sessions, healing music, ASMR, and other audio resources designed to promote mental and physical well-being. By seamlessly integrating these services, citizens using the Wrist Doctor app can now conveniently access high-quality mental care solutions.
Moreover, the service features a curation function that recommends audio content tailored to the user’s daily mood and exclusive audio content not available on other platforms. This approach assists users in stress management and mental health improvement, receiving positive feedback from early adopters.
On the day of the service launch, over 20,000 Wrist Doctor 9988 app, users began utilizing the mental care services, indicating a strong demand for maintaining a healthy mind and body. This response showcases the considerable interest and growth the potential of the digital healthcare market.
Through this collaboration between ‘Elephant’ and the Seoul City government, users will have increased awareness of mental health and easy access to mental care services. The two organizations plan to strengthen their partnership and work further tirelessly to promote the well-being of their users.
