Enterprising Startups & Innovations
ROAMIGO: Revolutionizing Global Connectivity
A standout at the event was ROAMIGO, a revolutionary player in the global eSIM data marketplace. With a sourcing network of over 140 mobile carriers in more than 250 countries, ROAMIGO transforms how travelers connect worldwide. Their appearance at the 2024 VIVATECH in Paris highlighted their innovative approach and commitment to cutting-edge technology.
CEO Jian Seo and Business Development Executive Hugh Park showcased ROAMIGO’s B2B eSIM platform. “We were the only eSIM startup from the APEC region to participate in VIVA TECHNOLOGY 2024. By bypassing intermediaries, we’ve managed to reduce costs for our customers while maintaining healthy margins,” Seo explained.
Iskander Haouam was impressed and remarked, “ROAMIGO’s model is particularly well-suited for markets like Saudi Arabia, which sees millions of visitors annually for the pilgrimage to Mecca. If you’re interested, I’d be delighted to facilitate introductions to telecoms here.”
Topundred Inc.: Incentivizing Sustainable Urban Living
Topundred Inc. is in the prototype stage but promises to make waves with its innovative mobile app, Jellywalk. Jellywalk rewards people for walking, particularly in areas where walking is typically disincentivized. By advocating for improved infrastructure and supporting sustainable urban planning, Topundred is fostering healthier lifestyles and more environmentally friendly cities.
CEO Genou Bae discussed Jellywalk’s launch in Jakarta, Indonesia, and its strategy to engage users. “We aim to change urban mobility by rewarding walking with discounts, cash, and other benefits. Additionally, our app will incorporate a social media platform to allow users to share their experiences and provide feedback on their cities,” Bae shared.
Iskander Haouam expressed keen interest in the app’s potential impact: “It’s fantastic to see a startup that combines technology with a strong social impact model. Your approach to incentivizing walking and leveraging social media for urban feedback is innovative and timely.”
Packative: Transforming the Packaging Industry
Packative is making significant strides in the packaging industry with its AI-powered SaaS platform. This technology enables brands to design, customize, and order sustainable packaging effortlessly, addressing the industry’s need for eco-friendly solutions.
CEO Dominik Danniger, an Austrian resident in South Korea since 2013, explained, “Our Design Your Package (DYP) AI solution simplifies the packaging design process, making it accessible for brands of all sizes. This innovation is crucial for a fragmented and manual industry.”
Iskander Haouam was impressed and inquired, “Packative’s platform is remarkable in its efficiency and sustainability.
