Digital content is the most sought-after business these days and requires constant innovation. Korean startup Chungdahm Media Inc. brings in a fresh approach to digital storytelling with its platform CeREELS. The platform is a creative convergence of music, visuals, design and storytelling. CeREELS is popularising animated music serials with unique storylines and entertainment.
Diverse stories to appeal the global audience
CeREELS presents diverse stories in the form of long-running series, with each season consisting of approximately 5 to 7 episodes of 60 to 180 seconds. Since its launch in 2020, CeREELS has produced 250 episodes of 40 series, and the platform has 100 more episodes in the pipeline for 2021. CeREELs are mainly in three categories: RAP, Prose Poem, and Classics according to the original story and music genre. Specifically, it can be said to be an animation created by combining various musical genres, such as RAP, POP, RnB, Musical, Rock, etc., based on a brand new created story or an adaptation of a well-known classic from a new perspective.
To make it appealing for the global audience, the stories of CeREELs have been written in simple and refined English sentences from the early stage. This makes CeREELs’ content not limited by age, gender and country. In 13 months to its launch CeREELs has over 150,000 subscribers and 55,000,000 views. The startup produces various types of content targeting the short-form market with international members of talented writers, professional musicians of various music genres, and animators.
Chungdahm Media Inc., the startup behind CeREELs, is an affiliate of ‘Chungdahm Learning,’ Korea’s leading ESL company. The company plans to work with global platform services such as App, Web, Smart TV, and Education direct distribution and MCP contracts of CeREELs.
