The travel and hospitality industry, which suffered a huge setback because of COVID-19, is expected to grow fastest once the pandemic subsides. People are already showing keen interest in domestic travel, customized trips and personalized itineraries, bringing in some business for the travel sector. Korean startup Travelai is expecting to grow with the travel industry through its unique integrated platform AL:OOO. The ‘integrated travel platform’ will be an on-demand all-in-one service optimized for travelers and local content creators.
A personalized travel app & content platform
Traveler’s app AL:OOO targets travelers in their 20s and 30s who prefer unique travel experiences. AL:OOO, available on App stores, works as a personalized travel app that finds and recommends all travel information that suits the traveler’s taste. The startup wants its platform to be utilized for finding best travel-related products like cheapest flights, best hotels, transportation, activity/shopping, etc.
AL:OOO is also tapping the potential of local content creators, who can leverage their talents and locations to provide unique experiences that can only be obtained at their destinations. Various creators/influencers can create content and sell talent and travel/leisure products online and offline through the platform. Traveler’s platform will link the local creator’s content and travel infrastructure to provide consumers with content (Information + Product).
AL:OOO is developed with AI, Big Data and Game technology integration. The startup is now working to build a regionally customized MaaS platform through strategic alliances with various companies. The startup has signed contracts with 15 local travel agencies and secured about 2400 travel products. It has also signed a business agreement for joint development and establishment of Jeju tourism-type MaaS platform with KST Mobility Co., Ltd., Blue Whale Company Co., Ltd. Travelai was started in 2017 with the aim to provide a unique product to travel industry. The company aspires to become a social media platform for travel-loving consumers where sellers, creators and end-users can connect directly.
