Korean tech company Spaceflow has curated a special platform Cclass to impart self-development lessons in the form of leisure and hobby content through the peer-to-peer (P2P) learning model. The utilization of online channels for self-development is increasing year-on-year and the startup wants to capitalize on it.
According to current data, the demand for self-development is highest in the 20-40 age group and around 84% percent office going people have self-development obsession for a better future. The self-development market is valued at 171,000 Korean Won.
Connecting learners and trainers
Cclass is a platform that has been establishing a solid foundation by enabling both teacher and students to interact with a click to both impart and improve skills like language, finance, investment advisory, cooking and fitness, which are the most preferred paid classes at the moment.
Cclass is a platform that gives competitive strength to local creators who have a skill that they can share on the one hand. On the other hand, people interested in self-development classes can connect with these individuals to learn something new, profitable for both teacher and student.
CEO and founder Choi Hyun-Bae, an ex-Samsung employee, started with this idea to build on a technology that makes the P2P learning model easy and fun to learn, providing one-on-one conversation during online group studies by keeping intact the experience of offline studies to generate outstanding results.
In addition to it, the platform also uses AI to monitor the students taking self-development classes for immersive learning. This is done by monitoring concentration through eye analysis and athletic posture monitoring for online fitness coaching classes.
The data collected through different AI monitoring technology is shared with the people using the services to improve their lesson both for the concerned teachers and the students. Working on a commission-based revenue model, the startup wants to expand globally to disrupt the self-development market that is untapped at the moment and clock growth of 300 percent CAGR by 2025.
