In a world where infertility affects over one billion people, the journey to parenthood can be daunting and expensive. In South Korea, a pioneering startup, Greenish, is breaking new ground in male fertility. Its product, Ferti-Max, is set to revolutionize the way couples approach conception, offering a much-needed focus on male fertility issues.
While infertility treatments often lean heavily towards addressing women’s reproductive health, studies reveal a stark reality – only 6% of infertility treatments are dedicated to addressing male fertility concerns. Greenish recognized this unmet need and embarked on a mission to create a solution that would empower couples on their journey to parenthood .
Optimizing Sperm Viability
Ferti-Max, the brainchild of Greenish, is a game-changing lubricant explicitly designed to enhance male fertility. This innovative product creates an alkaline environment within a woman’s vagina, precisely tailored to optimize conditions for sperm viability and movement. By aiding the conception process, Ferti-Max offers couples an accessible and convenient way to prepare for pregnancy, complementing existing fertility treatments.
Ferti-Max’s success lies in its ability to create the ideal alkaline conditions for sperm survival. Rigorously tested for mucosal irritation, the product has been deemed safe for use, causing no irritation or discomfort. Furthermore, Ferti-Max has demonstrated its ability to enhance sperm movement, as evidenced by a study conducted by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). This study showed a remarkable increase in fertilization and differentiation rates during artificial insemination with sperm treated with Ferti-Max.
Global Expansion and a Focus on the USA
Greenish is not content with just making a difference in South Korea. Their sights are set on the global stage, focusing on the United States, where a staggering 20% of individuals of fertility age grapple with infertility, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The company’s sales strategy is a well-thought-out two-phase approach. Greenish plans to establish B2B partnerships in the first phase, collaborating with top university hospitals and fertility centers. Greenish will then be selling Ferti-Max through medical stores and online medical shops. They are currently in the process of signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with numerous esteemed institutions, poised to make Ferti-Max readily available to those who need it.
