CG Tale Studio Inc., a CG video planning and production company started Mono’s journey through the Instagram account in 2020. The character has gained over 54k followers and is engaging fans with various content that is educational and informative. CG Tale Studio has also created an animated series for Mono, and the pilot episode will be released by the end of the year.
With Mono’s character, the startup wants to leverage the popularity of social media following and create revenue. Commercializing animation characters and series through traditional path costs lots of production investment, and hence the startup created Mono specifically for social media. As per the company, it will help create more awareness about animated characters through short clips, pictures, which are a staple diet for social media followers.
