Billyo, which operates space reservations for creators, announced that it had attracted pre-A investment from Infobank and CNT Tech. The exact size of the investment is not disclosed.
Established in 2020, Billyo operates a content-related space and place reservation app for creators and ‘Billyo Partners,’ a tool for managing space operators and affiliates. Billyo provides reservation services for external spaces such as filming studios, concept studios, dance practice rooms, music practice rooms, and horizons across the country. More than 170,000 people have reserved filming locations and practice spaces.
In particular, Billyo provides a space reservation service and information such as audition and content participation opportunities necessary to grow into a video-based social media creator such as YouTube and TikTok within the app. Based on this investment, it plans to strengthen its reservation market share, upgrade services, prepare for overseas service launches, and launch community services in the first half of this year.
In addition, a database was established through Billyo Partners, including customer reservation and payment information, space details, number of reservations, and expected sales. Hong Jong-cheol, CEO of Infobank iExcel, which led the investment, said, “According to a recent report published by Meta, about 300 million creators in 9 major countries, including the United States and Korea, are generating revenue through content production and sales.” He explained the investment background, saying, “Billyo is rapidly expanding the creator user pool in a short period, as well as innovatively solving the difficulties of space operators with IT technology.”
“The global creator market is currently worth 134 trillion won and is growing rapidly every year through TikTok and YouTube Shorts,” said Billio CEO Ahn Joon-hyuk. I will go out,” he said.
Meanwhile, Billyo attracted seed investment from global accelerator Spark Labs and Rising S Ventures Venture Capital. Last year Billyo was also selected as the ‘window 4’ of Google Play, an international corporate collaboration program, and has potential in the worldwide scalability and growth potential of the app service.
