The demand for content creation for engagements like marketing, promotions, awareness, and e-learning has increased in recent years. It has boosted the career of content creators as they share their creations with potential clients. Korean startup POSTYPE offers a creative content platform that seamlessly allows users to create and monetize unique content.

POSTYPE, a creative content platform, has attracted 10 billion won ($7.6 million) in Series B investment. Sui Generis Partners led this investment, with existing investor Atinum Investment and new investors Shinhan Venture Investment, We Ventures, KB Investment, and Playmake Ventures.

Launched in 2015, POSTYPE is a platform where anyone can generate revenue by selling their creations. Content creators such as webtoons and web novels can quickly sell or receive support from fans.

Since the service’s launch, the cumulative transaction amount has been about 70 billion won ($53 million). There are about 10 creators who have earned more than 100 million won in the past year. There is more than 3 million publicly published content within the force type.

Through this investment, POSTYPE plans to expand the POSTYPE Partners program, which supports the growth of creators such as webtoon and web novel writers and develops intellectual property (IP) businesses. To provide creators with more diverse means of monetization, we plan to add a store function that can sell products such as goods and publications.

“With this investment, we will focus on strengthening the story creation ecosystem that will lead to IP expansion and providing creators with a creative environment that generates stable profits,” said POSTYPE CEO Shin Ki-seop.
