Blockchain-based global electronic contract platform FirmaChain announced the launching of its DevNet, the testing stage of the platform’s Imperium testnet, as well as the launching of services such as the block explorer and faucet.
DevNet is where blockchain developers can test different scenarios and prepare specifications. Simultaneously, it is the venue that provides the fastest means to checking the most recent technological updates on the FirmaChain core.
By revealing the DevNet on GitHub, FirmaChain aims to transparently provide all of its technological updates henceforth. Additionally, once the stability of Imperium passes several verification tests, the company announced it will release its Colosseum testnet so that outside developers can participate as validators for testing purposes.
Launched services such as Faucet and Block Explorer through the Imperium DevNet
In order to do so, on top of unveiling its block explorer, FirmaChain also released its faucet service in an expedited manner thereby, adding transparency and suggesting the general direction in which the maininet hard fork, pre-scheduled for Q4, is headed. FirmaChain’s faucet service enables the testing of – Wallet Creation, Token Sending, Wallet Recovery and the Minting, Transferring, Burning of NFTs.
The testnet version of FirmaChain’s mainnet, Imperium, is named after a form of authority in ancient Rome while FirmaChain’s mainnet Augustus is named after the first emperor of ancient Rome. With FirmaChain’s recent decision to add the Colosseum testnet phase, the expectations on the successful mainnet hardfork have risen exponentially.
Currently, the Imperium testnet phase is based on FirmaChain ver.0.2.3 and several different tests are being conducted to test its stability and reliability. Additionally, a total of 4 validators have been chosen to test scenarios, including staking and voting. Information and results regarding the aforementioned tests being conducted can be found transparently on the block explorer.
On the block explorer, in addition to witnessing the creation of blocks real-time, a number of information on delegation, voting power, tokenomics and consensus can be found. FirmaChain’s block explorer also provides data and progress updates on the company’s NFT related services.
“With the release of the DevNet and additional services, the community will be able to get a glimpse on the direction in which the Augustus hardfork and ultimately FirmaChain itself is headed.” said FirmaChain CEO Yoon, Young In. “Since the whole process is committed and recorded on GitHub, we believe a more transparent understanding of FirmaChain’s technological development will be possible.”
