Israel based startup TetaVi Ltd, developers of the leading portable volumetric video capture system for AR/VR/MR content creators, announced a successful series A round of $4 million in March 2020. REDDS Capital led the round with participation from Korean-American VC firm Asia Alpha and TetaVi’s existing investors.

TetaVi was co-founded by serial startup visionaries, Dr. Miky Tamir and Michael Birnbaum, in 2016. With its research and development headquartered in Tel Aviv, TetaVi maintains a presence in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo through their offices and portable studios.

TetaVi’s volumetric capture system is used by gaming, fashion, and entertainment content creators to produce highly realistic immersive experiences to deepen fan engagement and increase customer retention. The TetaVi system uses only 4 portable depth cameras and Artificial Intelligence processing algorithms to create high fidelity realistic 3D holograms.

The company intends to use the new funding to expand volumetric video capabilities for remote entertainment, telepresence, and e-learning. “Within 5 years, TetaVi’s passionate team developed the innovative technology that has attracted partners from the leading 5G telecom company in Japan and TV personalities in Hollywood. The new investment round will enable TetaVi to capitalize on our Machine Learning and AI data to perfect our end to end volumetric video production chain,” said Gilad Talmon, TetaVi CEO.

About TetaVi

TetaVi develops and offers a portable volumetric studio, creating high fidelity holograms from real people that can be experienced from any perspective, anytime, without limiting one’s point-of-view. TetaVi makes all this possible by capturing the nuances, movements, and speech of an actor, athlete, or musician and bringing the personalized experience directly to the consumer.

TetaVi’s 4-camera portable and easy to install system does not use green screen, nor markers and provides real-time streaming and high frame rate.
TetaVi has numerous customers and collaborations in the EU, APAC, and the USA, such as Maccabi Basketball Club, Hollywood producers, Film Documentary “Bystanding,” SamsungXR (SDC19). To learn more, please write to us [email protected] and visit www.tetavi.com.
