Invest Korea Week 2021 (IKW 2021) is a leading program for investors, startups and those interested in the Korean business world to network, communicate, invest and progress. IKW 2021 brings together global investors, Korean entrepreneurs and policymakers from central and local governments on the same platform. IKW 2021, which enters its 17th year, is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and organized by Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Arirang TV.
The program this year will be held from November 3rd to 5th, 2021, through online and broadcast media. IKW 2021 theme this year is to focus on investing in innovative and sustainable Korean businesses. IKW 2021 registration is free and available through its website: https://ikw.kotra.biz.
IKW 2021 will also be broadcast live through ArirangTV, the IKW website and YouTube channel. IKW 2021 will be hosting over 100 foreign investors and 150 Korean companies, including startups, local government organizations, FEZs and relevant organizations. In 2020, IKW was held virtually for global investors, startups, companies, agencies, and media.
What to expect at IKW 2021?
At IKW 2021, investors and startups can expect to meet Korean companies and local governments through 1:1 business partnering that will help make wise investment decisions in Korea based on specific projects. It is a platform to learn about Korea’s investment environment, cooperation opportunities, and successful investment cases of leading enterprises, governments and global corporations. IKW 2021 offers investors close cooperation with the government and related organizations and support ranging from investment planning to follow-up management.
Panel talks, business meets & prominent speakers
Over the two days at IKW 2021, various programs include the Global Innovation Forum, Forum on Leading Industries of Korea (voices of foreign companies in Korea), 1:1 online business partnering meetings, presentations on Investment Environment of Major Industries in Korea and Foreign Press Conference.
A global VC panel talk “K-Startup Spotlight,” will also be held that will introduce highlights for global investors to the startup environment of Korea.The speakers for the panel talk include John Nam of Strong Ventures, Aaron Shin, co-founder and CEO of Ascendo venture, Eddy Hong, founder and CEO of Nextrans and will be moderated by James Jung, CEO of beSUCCESS.
