DeepInsight (CEO Oh Eun-song), a company specializing in AI-based 3D sensing solutions, has been chosen as the official domestic partner for the COINS (Co-Innovation Space) program organized by Infineon Technologies (Hereunder Infineon), a global leader in semiconductors for power systems and IoT applications.
The COINS partnership is a global partnership program by Infineon, which involves providing support and collaboration with promising companies and enterprises boasting original technologies. Companies officially selected as partners can jointly develop various applications, including technical assistance, knowledge exchange, product development, seminars, and networking with Infineon.
DeepInsight is a startup that integrates AI technology into 3D ToF cameras, possessing distinctive core technology. Solutions such as ‘ICMS (In Cabin Monitoring System)’ and ‘VMS (Volume measurement system)’ have been recognized for their innovation in optimization and lightweight design. These 3D camera solutions can be applied in the mobility, smart logistics, and ‘edutech’ markets.
Through this partnership, DeepInsight will utilize Infineon’s Time of Flight (ToF) sensor to embark on the development of AI-based 3D cameras. Infineon will support DeepInsight in accelerating the development of AI-based 3D ToF camera technology, enhancing its completeness, and achieving swift market penetration. Additionally, they plan to collaborate in the automotive sector to target the global 3D sensing market with systems focused on customer safety and convenience.
DeepInsight’s CEO, Oh Eun-song, expressed, “I am delighted that DeepInsight has been selected as the first domestic partner for Infineon Technologies’ COINS program. Through this partnership, we anticipate creating opportunities to aggressively target the global 3D camera market, not only by fostering close exchanges with Infineon but also by leveraging their technical development support.” Oh Eun-song further stated, “By combining Infineon’s innovative ToF sensor with DeepInsight’s 3D sensing technology, we look forward to unveiling high-quality solutions in the future.”
DeepInsight, located within Pangyo Techno Valley, Gyeonggi Province, is developing next-generation artificial intelligence vision systems for the 4th industrial sector, including mobility, smart logistics, smart factories, and robotics. Their technology involves incorporating lightweight and optimized AI models into 3D ToF camera modules. Since its establishment in 2020,
DeepInsight has combined distinctive AI technology and 3D sensing capabilities to develop specialized cameras and related solutions capable of measuring various forms and volumes of objects. They are actively engaged in technology collaborations and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives with diverse enterprises and institutions in fields such as mobility, logistics, and education.
