The data intelligence company S2W (CEO Seo Sang-deok) participated in RISCON 2023, held at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan from October 11th to 13th.
RISCON (short for Risk Control) is an industrial exhibition in Japan with the theme of ‘crisis management’ that has been held since 2018. More than 200 government agencies and private companies, including the government, military, and police, participated in the event.
S2W is a data intelligence company with proprietary technology for analyzing the dark web and cryptocurrencies. It is an official partner of INTERPOL and has currently entered the markets of the United States, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Recently, it has been exploring market entry into Japan, including organizing online seminars targeting 20 Japanese companies.
During this exhibition’s speaker session, S2W presented on the topic of “Trends in Cybercrime within the Dark Web and Effective Responses.” They introduced the current trends in cybercrime occurring on the dark web and effective response cases that can be applied to individual institutions.
At their booth exhibition, they demonstrated to Japanese government officials the threat intelligence alert function applied with their solution utilizing the dark web-exclusive artificial intelligence language model, DarkBERT. They showcased the cross-analysis of threat information found in the deep dark web and on Telegram, along with the virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) traded in relation to it.
S2W Business Center Director Lee Yoo-Kyung mentioned, “Visitors from organizations such as the police and the self-defense forces who came to our exhibition booth showed a strong interest in the dark web and virtual asset monitoring.” She added, “The threat intelligence market in Japan is growing rapidly, and we have confirmed S2W’s competitiveness in the Japanese market.”
S2W, located in Pangyo Techno Valley, Gyeonggi Province, is a data intelligence company with expertise in dark web and cryptocurrency analysis technology, founded in 2018 by a specialized research team from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).
