K Visa, a comprehensive visa platform for foreigners living in Korea, has attracted initial investment from Mashup Angels, an investment company specializing in early startups.
K Visa is a Korean visa service for foreigners residing in Korea. Foreigners can conveniently use all visa-related services online, from visa counseling for permanent residency, employment, study abroad, and marriage, to application, issuance, renewal, and conversion. K Visa’s big data-based algorithm cuts off the previous hour-long visa consultation service to 30 seconds, and user convenience has improved by providing real-time visa processing status inquiry and automatic notification of visa renewal expiration dates.
K Visa is composed of team members with expertise in administration, marketing, and development, led by CEO Lee Sang-wook, a former immigration professional. K Visa CEO Lee Sang-wook launched the service in October 2022 to solve foreign visa-related problems caused by information asymmetry and outdated work processes with IT technology.
K Visa, which holds eight patents related to customized visa services, enters into business alliances with foreign immigration expert partner administrators to provide stable visa issuance services by connecting appropriate administrators according to the user’s nationality, language, and visa type.
The cumulative number of visitors to K Visa platform exceeded 6,000, the cumulative number of consultations exceeded 750 within 3 months of launch, and the visa issuance success rate reached 92%.
Lee Sang-wook, CEO of KVisa, said, “Through this investment attraction, we plan to secure multilingual counselors such as Vietnamese, Chinese, and Russian to raise foreign customer satisfaction as a top priority.”
Shin In-mo, a senior reviewer at Mashup Angels, said, “KVisa is a team that can quickly lead the digital transformation of traditional visa work, as it has expertise in visa work and competencies in IT technology and platform services. As the market is expected to continue to grow in the future, KVisa is expected to grow beyond the Visa platform into a comprehensive service platform for foreigners.”
